A new chapter for ESO
The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road is a premium game utility that brings a new chapter to the hit role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). It adds the titular chapter, showcasing the return of a forgotten Daedric Prince. This DLC opens up a new zone, and tasks the players with defending the city of Skingrad, a city last seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Unlike the DLC-only version, however, The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road contains all major chapters in ESO, including The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom or The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset.
Follow the return of Ithelia
One key part of The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is the return of an ancient Daedric Prince. Ithelia once again walks Tamriel, and it’s up to the player to see if she needs your help or your intervention. This game adds the region of the West Weald, the Colovian capital of Skingrad, as well as the forests of Dawnwood. The new locations and storylines warrant hours of gameplay.
Another major addition in Gold Road is the Scribing system. This allows players to customize the effects of abilities, with a base Grimoire and custom scripts for unique skills that better suit a player’s playstyle. Also, the multiplayer experience gets new content with the Lucent Citadel, a 12-person trial that offers new dungeons and rewards. The story mentioned above also leads to a New World Event with the Mirrormoor Incursions.
The first catch in this DLC is that it requires the base ESO game to enjoy. Similarly, new players can opt for The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road, or The Elder Scrolls Online Deluxe Collection: Gold Road to access all major ESO Chapters and content. Players have complained about the storyline being predictable and repetitive at this point, with less content volume compared to other Chapters, like Necrom.
Experience the next chapter
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road brings exciting new features, including the return of the ancient Daedric Prince Ithelia, the introduction of the West Weald and Skingrad, and the Scribing system for customized abilities. Players can also explore the Lucent Citadel in a new 12-person trial. Despite requiring the base game and some criticism about the storyline's predictability, Gold Road offers immersive gameplay and rich new content.
